DVD conversion completed

Tonight I finished a project that has taken 1 year and 7 months for me to complete: the conversion to DVD of all of my VHS research tapes filmed from 1988-1992. It's been kind of a race against time, as some of the tapes are almost 20 years old, and consumer videotape media are only supposed to last a maximum of 10-12 years. Happily, mine were stored under conditions that minimized the possibility of degradation, and all of them were in tip-top shape when I did the VHS->DVD transfers. Whew! I still have yet to convert all of my Hi8 tapes to digital video (those were shot from 1992-2001), but my VHS tapes were by far the more important in terms of the quantity and quality of behavioral data. Anyway, I always hated my Hi8 camcorder. More often than not, it crapped out on me when I needed it to do its job.
